Overall Program Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

1. Identify strategies, counseling, and quality improvement (QI) initiatives in improving outcomes of extremely preterm neonates within the six major outcome themes: Lung Health, Brain Health, Gut Health, Hemodynamics, Infection Prevention, and Preterm Birth.
2. Compare new information and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from tertiary NICUs across Canada on QI initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for neonates and families.
3. Implement parent QI initiatives and boost family engagement in their respective NICUs to enhance parental involvement in the care process and incorporate their perspectives for improved neonatal care outcomes.
